Application

  1. I am interested to join TWINTECH, what are the programmes available ?
    TWINTECH has 62 programmes in 10 different faculties. Some of the programmes offered are professional programmes and have been accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). TWINTECH also offers Foundation, Diploma, Degree, Masters and PhD. Click here for more info!

  2. When should I apply for the programme?
    After you manage to get your SPM,STPM,IKM,Diploma certificate, you can apply online through our website. We have several intakes throughout the year. Hence we will issue an offer letter which will state the intake dates if the students are eligible for admission at TWINTECH. However, we can keep you updated with the intake dates on the events section on our website. Click here for more info!

  3. What are the supporting documents that I need before I submit my application?
    TWINTECH wants to make your life easier. We only need a copy of your highest qualification certificate (SPM, STPM or DIPLOMA) when you submit your application online. You may attached your copy online or post / fax to us once you have register yourself online.

  4. Can I apply online?
    Yes. You may register yourself online and submit your application within minutes.
    If you prefer to do it manually by snail mail, you may send your particulars to :

  5. I am an international student. What do I need to do?
    If you are an international student, you need to submit to us :

    • A copy of your first page of your passport
    • A copy of certificate and transcript of your highest qualification
    • Choices of your course

    The marketing department will submit to the dean of the faculty for approval. If your application has been approved , you need to prepare these documents :

    • A full page photocopy of your passport
    • 8 pieces of photograph (passport-sized)
    • Medical check up form which can be obtained from the International Students Affairs office
    • NOC (only applicable for students living in the South African and Sub Saharan countries)
    • Submission Fees : RM1100 . Payable to the Finance Department.
    • Then, we will submit these to the Immigration Department of Malaysia. After it has been approved, we will then post the approval letter to you. Then you have to go to the Malaysian Embassy at your respective countries to get a student visa. After that, the students have to inform the International Students Department upon your arrival. Once it has been done, you can further your study at TWINTECH.

Accommodation

  1. I am interested in staying on-campus. What type of accommodation is available?
    Yes. We do have accommodation hostel for first year students. Any students who wish to live longer, they have to fill up the form and discuss with the accommodation department.

  2. How far is the accommodation from the TWINTECH?
    The accommodation is just a few kilometres away from the campus. By bus / car, it may take you within 5 minutes to arrive.

  3. What are the amenities available in the hostel?
    You may get a shared kitchen, bathroom, and living room. All rooms have a single bed with mattress and a study table (semi - furnished).

  4. Is it safe to stay on-campus?
    Yes, it is safe. Our hostel are guarded properties and we have a warden who stayed there as well.

  5. How much is the rental of the accommodation?
    The rates are RM 160 /month for local students and RM 300/month for international students. All students must pay deposits for 2 ½ month (initial payments) to secure the hostel room.

  6. Can I stay with my course mates which have the same programme?
    Yes. You may stay with your course mates which have the same programme as you. However, you need to clarify with the accommodation department and follow the rules and regulation provided.

  7. How do I apply to stay in campus ?
    You may apply your stay on-campus when you have registered yourself a place at TWINTECH as a student on the registration day.

  8. Any other options besides on-campus accommodation?
    Yes, you can also rent a house/ apartments in Bandar Sri Damansara or Damansara Damai. There is a lot of choices depending on your budget. Rental rates for private apartments may cost within RM 600 – RM 1000.

  9. What is the cost of living at Bandar Sri Damansara / Kuala Lumpur?

Scholarships and Financial Aids

  1. I would like to apply for scholarships. What are the scholarships available provided by TWINTECH?
    Currently we do not provide any kind of scholarships to students. However, students may apply to other organisations or government bodies to fund your study at TWINTECH.

  2. When is the closing date for the scholarship application?
    Not applicable.

  3. Will I be bonded when I receive the scholarship?
    Certain scholarships will have you bonded with other organisations / government bodies. As for now, TWINTECH does not have any scholarships to offer for any students.

  4. What are other financial aids available at TWINTECH?
    Besides scholarships, TWINTECH will arrange a government loan for local students. We do not arrange any loans for international students.

  1. How do I make payment?
    Payment should be made payable to “ TWINTECH HOLDINGS SDN. BHD.”

  2. How do I get to TWINTECH?
    TWINTECH is located beside Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) Highway near Sungai Buloh - Bandar Sri Damansara Exit. The average journey will take about 20 minutes from the City of Kuala Lumpur and students may have access to public transportation (busses, taxi and KTM).

  3. Any transportation vehicle arranged by for students?
    If you are a local student, we can arrange your transportation. However, if you stay on-campus, normally they walk to the campus.

  4. I am planning to drive to TWINTECH, is there any parking space available for students?
    Yes. There are parking space available but it is limited for certain number of cars. The parking fees for students are RM50.

  5. Is there any sports / extracurricular activities for students to join at TWINTECH ?
    Yes. There are 16 clubs and societies for students to join. Students that participate actively as a member of one of the uniform organizations and one of TWINTECH’s clubs will be awarded with grades at the end of every semester. There are 4 uniform organizations which consist of the following:

    • Scouts Association of Malaysia
    • Red Crescent of Society of Malaysia
    • Wataniah Malaysia

  6. Is it compulsory to join these activities?
    Yes. It is a compulsory for students to join at least one of the activities.
